Public relations is just one element of the marketing communications mix, it sits alongside advertising, interactive communications and promotion.
But good PR is not simply a case of getting lots of publicity for a product or an organisation. Good PR is about securing the understanding and trust of the target audiences. So it needs to educate and inform, not just get a company noticed.
PR has been the main focus at RQB since the company was first established in 2000. In the UK’s agricultural supply sector, much of the public relations activities involve gaining editorial coverage in key farming publications. For this, the majority of the ‘thinking and writing power’ is supplied by RQB director Rachel Queenborough
Rachel has a background in Animal Science, and knowledge and interest specifically in the livestock sector of farming. She is an active member of the
Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the
Guild of Agricultural Journalists. |
